1 Decide on what color foam paper to use for the wings, tail feathers and feet. Be creative and use crazy colors or be classical and use brown, orange and red.

2 For the tail feathers-You will need 5 foam sheets. Trace your index finger on each different colored sheet and cut out. For the wings and feet-cut out 2 large triangles for the wings and 2 small triangles for the feet. For the beak-Cut a small triangle out of foam paper. Bend the beak down the middle so it looks real!

3 Turn clay pot upside down. Place a small drop of glue onto each foot (small triangle) and attach to the bottom of the pot. CAUTION! Glue will be hot even when using a low temperature glue gun.

4 Put a small glue drop onto each tail feather and place them on the back of the clay pot in a fanning pattern.

5 Glue a wing to each side of the pot.

6 Choose a small foam ball from the package and paint it. Allow ball to dry and glue it to the top of the clay pot making sure not to cover the hole of the pot. Glue wiggly eyes onto the head. Attach the beak onto the head under the eyes.

7 Tie a knot into the end of a pipe cleaner. Take the untied end of the pipe cleaner and push it through the clay pot so the knot stays under the pot. Wrap the exposed end of the pipe cleaner around your finger to make it twist up behind the turkey’s head. Cut a strip of paper or use an index card and write the person’s name on it. Bend pipe cleaner to hold paper.
